LA GRAN MANZANA

A country full of colors, traditions, and of course, flavors... yep, this is Mexico. Its cuisine has introduced international influences and the gourmet food has arrived since much time ago to our restaurants, and together with the traditional Mexican food and contributions, new fusions are generated.

My main goal right now is to start to try new restaurants and to give you my opinion about them, leaving as well an evidence in this blog. As I told you, an essential part of not mine but of our lives is to experiment variety; to try new different things; get out of our daily routines, etc. But where I am mainly focused is in the area of FOOD. That's why I have decided to guide my feelings for enjoying, describing, and transmitting to you by my visits to new and existent places.

Situated in one of the main avenues of the city, "La Gran Manzana" is an international restaurant with the typical Mexican flavor. La Gran Manzana means "The Great Apple". The first thing I realized was a warm atmosphere together with a sober decoration, that even it reflects the taste of home. The menu is international; it includes poultry meat, red meat, seafood: each of them prepared in different recipes that  have the mexican flavor essence mixed with the gourmet style, as much in appetizers as the main dishes. It also includes a wide variety of soups, salads and children's menu, it also has such a large list of wines and beverages.

The customer service is pretty good, the plates are so generous, and the flavor... it is exceptional; this restaurant gets dinner guests of different ages and liking, making this restaurant a place for EVERYONE.

So let's get started. I arrived at the restaurant and the background music was the best (Bossa Nova). 

First, as an appetizer, I had guacamole and small rounded bread slices, aka as "tapas". I loved them!

Then, as the main dish, I had steak, agaaain (In most of the restaurants I go, I always have steak, but let's be honest, every place has different taste... anyway, I'm going to try to change that custom). The steak had steam veggies next to it, so I can say that it was such a healthy option for those who want to find balance in their meals and at the same time, a delicious flavor.

Finally, the best moment, which forms part of a select dessert menu: a brownie. I am not exaggerating if I say that that was the best brownie I have ever eaten in my life. The plate was so eye-catching. The brownie had icing sugar and a strawberry on it. It had a vanilla ice cream ball garnish. Definitely, such an amazing experience that encourages me to come back again, to enjoy ONE MORE TIME this culinary space that offers something more than its already delicious kitchen. 

Don't have any complaint about it, everything was amazing. I finished my meal so so satisfied. Do I recommend you this restaurant? Of course! So, you MUST go.

Un país lleno de colores, tradiciones, y desde luego, sabores... sí, esto es México. Su cocina ha introducido influencias internacionales y la comida gourmet ha llegado desde hace mucho tiempo a nuestros restaurantes, y junto con la comida tradicional mexicana y sus contribuciones, nuevas fusiones son generadas.

Mi objetivo principal es empezar a probar nuevos restaurantes y darte mi opinión sobre ellos, dejando también una evidencia en este blog. Como te dije, una parte esencial de no solo mi vida pero tuya es experimentar variedad, probar distintas cosas, salirnos de nuestras rutinas diarias, etc. Pero donde estoy principalmente enfocada es en el área de la COMIDA. Es por eso que he decidido guiar mis sentimientos para disfrutar, describir, y transmitirte mis visitas a nuevos y ya existentes lugares.

Situado en una de las principales avenidas de la ciudad, "La Gran Manzana" es un restaurante internacional con el típico sabor mexicano. Lo primero que observé fue una atmósfera cálida junto con una sobria decoración, que incluso refleja el sabor de un hogar. El menú es internacional, incluye aves, carnes rojas, mariscos, etc. Cada uno de ellos preparados en diferentes recetas que tienen la esencia del sabor mexicano junto con el estilo gourmet, tanto en aperitivos como en los platillos principales. También incluye una amplia variedad de sopas, ensaladas, y un menú para pequeños, además cuenta con una larga lista de vinos y bebidas.

El servicio al cliente es bastante bueno, los platillos son muy generosos, y el sabor... es excepcional; este restaurante consigue comensales de diferentes edades y gustos, haciendo de este restaurante un lugar para TODOS.

Empecemos. Llegué al restaurante y el ambiente musical fue el mejor (Bossa Nova). Primeramente, como aperitivo, tuve guacamole y pequeñas y redondas rebanadas de pan, que también son conocidas como "tapas". ¡Las amé!

Después, como el platillo principal, tuve arrachera, sí, otra vez (En casi todos los restaurantes a los que voy, pido arrachera, pero seamos honestos, cada lugar tiene un diferente sabor, sin embargo, voy a tratar de cambiar esa costumbre). La arrachera tenía verduras cocidas como guarnición, entonces puedo decir que fue una excelente y saludable opción para aquellos que quieran alimentarse bien, encontrar balance en sus comidas y al mismo tiempo saborearlas.

Finalmente, el mejor momento, el cual forma parte de un selecto menú de postres: un brownie. No estoy exagerando si digo que ese fue el mejor brownie que he probado en mi vida. El platillo era muy llamativo. El brownie tenía azúcar glass y una fresa encima. También, como acompañante, tenía una bola de nieve de vainilla. Definitivamente, una experiencia de lujo que me motiva a regresar otra vez, a disfrutar UNA VEZ MÁS este espacio culinario que ofrece algo más de su ya de por sí deliciosa cocina.

No tengo ninguna queja sobre el restaurante, todo estuvo increíble. Finalicé mi comida muy satisfecha. ¿Les recomiendo este restaurante? ¡Por supuesto! Deben de ir.
